BAF Maintenance

Perform recommended preventive maintenance (PM) on 124 various Big Ass Fan (BAF) commercial blade fans: Performance includes providing all tools and OSHA approved lift capability and/or ladders. Preventive Maintenance includes recommended manufacturer 21 point inspection: - Clean all airfoils - Check tightness of all hardware with a torque wrench - Check breather cap (if applicable) - Check oil levels (if applicable) and inspect for any signs of leakage - Check safety cables - Verify airfoil retainer clips are installed - Check safety clips and document clearance between clip and bottom frame plate - Check mounting method - Check fan for plumb and level - Check torque of Fenner at 167 ft-lbs, if applicable - Check dimensions of any supplemental steel supports - Visually inspect welds - Check wiring methods used - Verify raceways are isolated (line, load, other fans) - Verify all electrical connections on motor and controller are correct arrangement and properly tightened - Verify fault history - Verify properly sized fuses are installed in controller, if applicable - Verify maximum HZ has not been changed in the VFD - Inspect for any signs of physical damage to fan or controller - Clear debris and dirt from the VFD with air gun - Document any customer complaints
