Description | This project consists of constructing storm sewer outfall bypasses thru the project site for the northern and southern storm sewer outfalls. The storm sewer outfall bypass project passes thru an active Renzi Foodservice construction site. It is the contractors responsible to coordinate with the active construction project contractor, Cunningham Excavation, as required to complete the required work without impacting Cunningham Excavation's operations. The successful bidder will be required to supply all labor, material, and equipment to perform all sewer collection system replacement and improvements according to specified documents, construction locations, and details and as directed by the City Engineer including, but not limited to the following: Northern Massey Street Outfall Bypass 1. Earthwork Cuts/Fills 2. Construction of 15' W x 25' L Plunge Pool 3. Construction of 244 LF of 6' Wide Drainage Swale 4. Installation of 539 LF 30" SICPP Storm Pipe and (4) Galv. End Sections 5. Construction of 10' W x 25' L Rip Rap Channel 6. Construction of 20.5' W x 18' Long Rip Rap Outlet Protection 7. Reconstruction of 1,750 SF of Asphalt Access Drive 8. Reconstruction of 715 SF of Crushed Stone Access Drive 9. Topsoil, Mulch, Seeding, and Restoration Southern Massey Street Outfall Bypass 1. Tree Clearing 2. Removal of Existing Storm Structure and 67 LF of 15" Storm Pipe 3. Earthwork Cuts/Fills 4. Installation of (1) 4' Dia Storm Manhole 5. Installation of 285 LF 18" SICPP Storm Pipe and (1) Galv. End Sections 6. Construction of 15.5' W x 14' Long Rip Rap Outlet Protection 7. Construction of 345 LF of 6' Wide Drainage Swale 8. Topsoil, Mulch, Seeding, and Restoration The project site is located at 901 Rail Drive on the property of Renzi's Foodservice within the Cityof Watertown. The successful contractor will be required to provide all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment andothermeans of construction necessary and incidental to the completion of the work shown on the plans anddescribedinthe bidding and contract documents The successful company must review the INSURANCE AND BONDING CHECKLIST sheet, and provide all insurances and bonds, that will cover any type of work being done on this project. All insurance forms, like that for liability (ACORD 25) or Workmen's Comp (U-26.3 or C-105.2), must have a principal office in New York State or be authorized to do business in New York State. The City of Watertown must be listed under certificate holder on the forms. All insurances must be active for the duration of the job, and all insurance forms must reflect that fact. For use in all documents the City of Watertown, New York, is (the "Owner") and THECHOSENQUALIFIEDCOMPANY, is (the "Contractor"). The City Council reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any or all bids. Each bidder must deposit with his bid, security in the amount of not less than five per centum (5%) of the bid in the form and subject to the conditions provided for in the Information for Bidders. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a payment and performance bond in the amount of not less than 100% of the total amount of the accepted bid and in such form and having as surety thereon such surety company or companies as are approved by the City Council. Insurance carrier must have principal office in New York State or be authorized to do business in New York State. Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under this contract. The Work will be substantially completed by December 9, 2022. The contractor has 30 days to complete the project after the date when the Contract Times commence to run as provided in Article 4.01 of the General Conditions. |
