City Hall - Side Entrance Stairs Rehabilitation

1. Partial demolition of existing North Side steps and South Side steps to the existing timber piles. Upon determination of structural integrity of existing timber piles, Contractor shall proceed with reconstruction of steps by utilizing the existing piles OR by proceeding with the new helical pile system, new reinforced concrete pile caps, new reinforced concrete foundation walls and new reinforced concrete pile caps, new reinforced concrete foundation walls and new reinforced concrete steps clad in new bluestone wearing treads and risers. New limestone wall panels will be installed. New wall tiling will be installed at the basement level. Some of the existing limestone will be cleaned, restored and reused, however there will be some new limestone pieces as well as new bluestone pieces. All work is to occur at both North and South Stairs. 2. Plumbing work including trench drains tying into existing drainage system, new sidewalks and re-installation of existing guardrails, minor painting of Porticos and basement vestibule ceilings.
