Description | City Hall Annex Improvements: The City Hall Annex building will be contained in the two-story building at 29 S. State Street, adjacent to City Hall. The building was built in 1988and currently houses the Westerville Police Division. The Police Division will be vacating this building in 2022 and moving to the new Westerville Justice Center. Once Police operations are relocated, the building is anticipated to house the offices of various City administrative departments. Administrative functions that may relocate to the annex include Income Tax, Utility Billing, Information Systems, and Planning & Development. A preliminary construction budget of $4.0 million has been established for the needed Improvements. Fire Station 111 Improvements: Fire Station 11, located at 400 W. Main Street, is the City’s main fire house. Station 111was built in 1986 and is the oldest of the City’s three fire stations. Extensive updates are needed, including remodeling the 20-year-old kitchen, replacing the 35-year-old windows, and renovating the front administrative offices. Additionally, there is interest in adding a new training room to the building and a new training building behind Station 111.A preliminary construction budget of $1.7million has been established for the needed improvements. Westerville Electric Division Administrative Office Improvements: The Westerville Electric Division’s administrative office building, located at 139 E. Broadway Avenue, was built in 2000 and the large lobby area has been found to have underutilized space in recent years. Lobby updates are needed with an emphasis on shifting some lobby space to thecreation o fnew office space. Other priorities include security improvements for the lobby and possibly the inclusion of an energy efficiency display center. A preliminary construction budget of $350,000 has been established for the needed improvements. |
