| Description | This project consists of improvements to pedestrian facilities at up ove 200 locations throughout the City of Rochester. The improvements will be implemented at both signalized intersections and uncontrolled crosswalks. At signalized intersections, improvements willl include the addition of backplates that meet current standards, introduction of leading pedestrian intervals (LPI), and enhanced corsswalk striping. At the uncontrolled crosswalks, improvements will include installing the 'basic package' of signs and pavement markings (as needed) as shown in th estatewide PSAP details. Other work involves enhanced treatments that include the installation of Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons (RRFB), raised table crosswalks, and curb bumpouts. |
