East Street Water Main Improvements

As of March 21, 2023, the owner has decided not to award the project. At this time, the project is not expected to be rebid. For "East Street Water Main Improvements" and is further described as follows: Replacement of an existing 4" water main with approximately 460 feet of 6" PVC water main on East Street between South Street and Farnham Street. Work also includes installation of various fittings, valves, hydrants, reconnection of water services, surface restoration and miscellaneous appurtenances. Bidders are advised that this Contract will be subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act. Bidders are advised that this Contract will be subject to the Illinois Steel Products Procurement Act. The successful Bidder shall provide at least 40% of all labor required for the completion of this project. The Bid shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the gross amount of the bid and be payable to the order of the Village of Sheffield. Bids may be held by the Village of Sheffield for a period not to exceed 45 days from the date of the opening of Bids for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders, prior to awarding of the Contract. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding. Liquidated damages shall be assessed at $500 per calendar day
