Summit Aquatic Center Lazy River Coating Replacement

The pool water will be drained and filled by Canton. Contractor truck access shall be to the south door to the aquatic center. New material will need to be pumped from the access door to the lazy river. Demolition shall include, but not limited to, the following: 1. Removal of stair tiles. 2. Selective removal of existing Marcite materials around tile that is to remain or pool features such as; lights, inlets, returns and etc. in preparation for new materials. 3. Removal of existing Marcite surface of at least 10% in preparation of new material. Any loose, hollow or delineated material shall be removed at an additional scope and cost to be determined by owner and Contractor at time of construction. Installation shall include, but not limited to, the following: 1. 100 lineal feet of porcelain pool rated stair tile. Contractor recommended product to be provided as part of proposal. Tile to be installed per manufacturer’s recommendations. 2. After demolition and prior to application of new Marcite the existing surface shall be acid washed and all dirt and debris removed. The surface shall be prepared in accordance with material installation standards. Contractor to provide recommended material application methods as part of proposal. 3. New Marcite shall be installed on the floor and walls of the lazy river and slide plunge pool at a minimum of 3/8th of an inch. Contractor to provide recommended material specifications as part of proposal.
