Description

The Project will construct an emergency outlet structure for Basin 4100. It will be located on the southwest corner of Thornton Parkway and the RTD railroad tracks. The structure will be a modified inlet box with a series of CDOT Type D closed mesh grates that will be constructed over the existing two (2) 36-inch RCPs. A total of nine (9) CDOT Type D closed meshed grates would be installed in a single row. A full bench will be constructed inside of the structure so that the existing pipe capacity hydraulics are not affected. The top of the box would be above ground approximately 0.5-foot to 1.6-foot. The box would be immediately adjacent to the future trail realignment on the soft trail side. A split rail fence will be installed from the structure to 25-foot north and 25-foot south of the box.
