RFQ Design - Construction of the Addition of Tioga Community Center

The city commissioners have voted to forgo pursuing a $10 million loan to fund the proposed community expansion. A timeline for construction has not been determined. Closed solicitation has been included below for reference. ……………….. ______________________________________________________________________ The City of Tioga is requesting the services of an engineering or Architectural Firm to prepare plans and specifications, advertise bids for construction and to provide construction administration and construction observation services for the construction of the addition of Tioga Community Center. The design will have a minimum of 11,000 square feet of added space for the City Community and other functions (additional requirements). The tasks that the consultant firm will be responsible for shall include, but not be limited to, the following: Design and prepare plans and specification for the construction of the addition to the Community Center, following all applicable building codes and permit requirements, as well as all local, state and federal codes and regulations. Solicit bids from qualified contractor(s) capable of the work and awarding said bids. Provide construction administration and observation of the contractor(s) to ensure the contractor performs the work in accordance with the intent of the plans and specifications and building code requirements. With a City representative inspect the facility for final acceptance and/or correct any discrepancies found during inspection Manage a construction timeline to insure the completion of the project within the appropriate time. Construction is to begin as soon as construction is possible in 2021 and be completed by November 01,2022 award by April 19,2021 The City reserves the right to reject any and all proposals.
