Payson Avenue South 5th to South 8th

The City of Quincy's MR 670 Project consists of reconstructing Payson Avenue from South 5th Street to South 8th . Work includes 2517 tons of hot-mix asphalt, 4347 feet of combination urb & gutter, 164 square yards of PCC pavement, 22,510 square feet of PCC sidewalks, 2,165 feet of storm sewers, 230 feet of sanitary sewers, 1,896 feet of water main, water services, and related improvements. All bids shall be accompanied by either a bid bond on the "Proposal Bid" form contained in the proposal, executed by a corporate surety company satisfactory to the city of Quincy, or a bank cashier's check, an irrevocable letter of credit or a properly certified check for not less than 5 percent of the amount bid, or for the amount listed in the specifications. The City Council of Quincy reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities. No bid may be withdrawn after the time for opening of the bids is past. Bidders are notified that not less than the prevailing wage rate as determined by the Illinois Department of Labor shall be paid to all workers performing work under this contract.
