Question Acceptance Deadline 08/16/2022 12:00 AM EDT Questions are submitted online No The Highland DDA seeks to commission a visual artist or artist team to design and paint an exterior mural at 144 S. Milford Road, Highland MI 48357 (Odds & Ins-Retail Store) Approximately 20'x20' The space is identified in photographs in the information package. Work would consist of design (based on examples provided in information packet) as well as production of work on-site, which must be executed by experienced artists and must include a high quality exterior varnish to secure the longevity of the mural. The selected vendor will also provide a bid to properly prime and prepare the area approved for the mural painting. The project is part of Highland Station's ongoing efforts to create an inviting, inspiring, and inclusive environment for residents and visitors. Selection Information: Qualifications will be evaluated by the Selection Committee on the following criteria and point scale: Quality of Work: (1-40 points). Portfolio of artwork submitted reflect original, unique designs and high/or visual impact. Use of Content Appropriate for all Audiences: (1-40 points). A portfolio of artwork is appropriate for all ages and shows the artist or artist team is likely to be considerate of the site's place in the local community. Prior experience: (1-20 points) Qualifications and portfolio demonstrate an artist's or artist team's ability to complete a project of a similar scale.
