2020 Road Rehabilitation

This project entails asphalt resurfacing on various City Streets. Work shall consist of cold planing existing bituminous surfaces to a depth of approx. 1”, road leveling, adjusting utility structures, paving milled area, pavement markings, and traffic control. 1. Excavation to include milling of asphalt surfaces or other removal of asphalt paving, uncovering utility structures, and removal of unsuitable material. 2. Reconstruction, replacement, or grade adjustment of utility surface structures, including protection of work and maintaining road access through all phases of the project. 3. Replacement of storm drainage culverts and installation of precast concrete headwalls. 4. Preparation and construction of asphalt pavement base, leveling, and wear courses. 5. Preparation and construction of concrete sidewalks with detectable warning panels. 6. Placement and compaction of shoulder or other gravel courses, or loam and seed. 7. Retro-reflective paint pavement markings, landscape grading, signage, or other incidentals to roadway rehabilitation included in the plans and details. 8. Bid Alternate #1 proposed expansion of parking areas on Adams Street. Engineers estimate base bid for this project is $540,700.00 and bid alternate 1 estimate is$ 80,000.00.
