Description | The City of Bloomington, incorporated in 1856, is a home rule unit of government under the 1970 Illinois Constitution. The City of Bloomington is located in the heart of Central Illinois, approximately 125 miles southwest of Chicago, 155 miles northeast of St. Louis and 64 miles northeast of Springfield, the State Capital. The City of Bloomington is the County Seat of McLean County, the largest county in Illinois (approximately 762,240 acres). The results of the 2010 Census shows the City now has a population of 76,610 citizens. The economic strength of the City of Bloomington metropolitan area is well diversified with no single dominating industry. Questions Due to City:December 29, 2023, 4:00pm Response from City:January 5, 2024, 3:00pm The City of Bloomington reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive technicalities. This project is being supported, in whole or in part, by federal award number SLFRP0597 awarded to City of Bloomington by the U.S. Department of the Treasury. Bid must be accompanied by a Bid guaranty which shall not be less than ten percent (10%) of the amount of the Bid. Bid guaranty may be a cashier's check, money order, certified bank check, or a surety bond. All guaranties, except surety bonds, will be deposited and reimbursement checks and surety bonds will be issued to unsuccessful bidders following the bid award. The successful bidder will be required to provide Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount equal to 100% of the contract price, within ten (10) business days after the bid award. The City of Bloomington requires all Bidders/Consultants doing business with the City not to discriminate on the basis of race, age, color, religion, gender, ancestry, national origin, marital status, mental or physical disability unrelated to ability, familial status or sexual orientation. A pre-bid meeting/site visit will not be held for this solicitation. It is highly suggested that interested parties view the project site and/or understand the requirements of the solicitation before submitting a response. FY24 General Sidewalk, Curb and Gutter Replacement Program - Phase 2 This project consists primarily of the following major work items: Approximately 26,661 SQ FT Sidewalk Removal Approximately 5,292 SQ FT P.C.C. Sidewalk 6" Approximately 18,388 SQ FT P.C.C. Sidewalk 4" Approximately 2,390 SQ FT P.C.C. ADA Ramps Approximately 17 EACH inlet reconstructions and 15 EACH inlet adjustments. Approximately 2,225 FT of curb and gutter. |
