Description

Professional engineering consultants to conduct Phase III engineering construction services for the Poplar Avenue Bike Extension along Cicero Avenue from Meadow Lake Court to Gateway Drive North. Proposed improvements consists of a new .065 MI long 10-LF wide, asphalt, shared-use path parallel to existing IL 50. Minor resurfacing, curb and gutter replacement, crosswalk pavement markings, and ADA ramp installation are included at the three intersections and one commercial entrance. An at-grade crossing of teh Wisconsin Central (WC) Railroad is included and coordination with the WC Railroad will be required during construction. Approximately 200 LF of segmented concrete block retaining wall ranging from two feet to six feet high is proposed on the west side of the proposed path near the WC Railroad crossing.
