Climate Resilient Tree Planting

The City of Mount Rainier ("the City") invites bids from qualified tree nurseries to provide planting services for trees over a two-year period (January 1, 2023-December 31, 2024), and to assist the City with the siting of those trees. Bidders must be knowledgeable about and able to supply climate resilient trees, trees that are suitable for a variety of climate-related stressors expected under low to high emission climate change models. Questions should be sent to rlatorre@mountrainiermd.org Subject: City of Mount Rainier, Climate Resilient Trees by January 16, 2023 and responses will be posted by January 18, 2023. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond in the full amount of the Contract. The City will reject late proposals. Extension requests will not be considered. The City reserves the right to reject any submittals, as well as the right to waive objections to non-material irregularities. The City may notify bidders of any change in the submission schedule should the City determine, in its sole discretion, that changes are necessary. The City's receipt of any proposal shall constitute a statement of intent to enter into a contract for construction services.
