Description | This Contract has been designated as set forth in these contract documents, including drawings and specifications, prepared by, Architects and Engineers, 64 Green Street, Hudson, NY 12534. The awarded bid will be announced during the August 3rd Town Board Meeting. All proposals shall be made and received upon the following conditions, which are more fully set forth in the bid documents: Only such proposals as are made and filed upon the forms herein and available in the office of the Town of Greenport Town Clerk will be accepted. Proposals are to be enclosed in a sealed envelope so marked "Greenport Town Hall Renovations". Pursuant to the provisions of GML 105, no bids may be withdrawn unless no contract is awarded for more than 45 days after the opening thereof. Upon such proper withdrawal of bid, the deposit shall be forthwith returned. After award of the contract, all bid deposits or other bid bonds except that of the successful bidder will be returned. Upon acceptance of the bid, if the successful bidder fails to enter into a contract pursuant to the requirements of said Town Board or fails to give further security prescribed in this notice within the time noted herein, then the check deposited as aforesaid, and the moneys standing to the credit of the same shall be forfeited to the Board as liquidated damages and not as a penalty and the Fire District shall collect the same or enforce the payment of the bond for the benefit of the Fire District. All bids shall contain the non-collusion certificate in a form meeting the requirements of GML 103-d. The Town of Greenport reserves the right, in its discretion, to waive technical noncompliance or irregularities that are not material or substantial, and to reject all bids and to rebid the project. |
