Gymnasium Lighting Upgrade

Renovation of a mixed-use development in Springfield, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility; and fitness / recreation center. The Illinois State Police (ISP), Division of the Academy & Training, is requesting quotes for an LED lighting upgrade, including switches and exit lights, in the Academy's gymnasium. The electrical service requested must be completed by the vendor on or before August 15, 2022. The service location is: the ISP Academy, 3700 East Lake Shore Drive, Springfield, Illinois. All work must be completed during regular business hours, unless approved by the Academy Commander. No weekend or holiday access will be granted. The vendor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment, sub-contractors, and any other required materials related to providing the services requested. Vendors per hour labor rate shall include the prevailing basic wage rate; fringe benefits (Health and Welfare, pension and others) also shall include all employer expenses for FICA, Workmens Compensation, Liability Insurance, Unemployment Insurance, and any other city, State or federal requirements regarding employees. Per hour labor rate shall also include all cost and expenses for trucks and/or vehicles, tools and equipment associated with trade, travel, pickup and delivery of materials, estimating, call-backs, supervision, administrative overhead and profit. Replacement of twenty-six (26) Metal Halide-High Bay Lights (250 watt), four (4) High-Bay Incandescent Bulbs (500 watt) & breakers for each corresponding row of lights. Any lighting over the stage area would need to be placed in a way as to not cast a shadow on the podium. Cost of labor must be included in item quote. - (LED Lighting Upgrade Required) The replacement LED Lighting for the (4) high-bay incandescent lights will remain on the current 3-way switch, so they are able to be operated independent from the remainder of the lighting. There are currently four incandescent lights on that switch, however during the upgrade to LED, that may not equate to four new LED lights. The replacement LED Lighting for the remaining (26) Metal Halide high-bay lights must be on their own new 3-way switch, located next to the existing 3-way switch for the current incandescent lights. Replacement of twelve (12) 2-bulb fixtures mounted to steel beams in upper mezzanine. Cost of labor must be included in item quote. - (LED Lighting Upgrade Required) Lighting (including bulb and fixture) in the upper mezzanine will be replaced one-for-one with a new LED equivalent. Replacement of twelve (12) 2-bulb fixtures recessed in drywall in lower mezzanine. Cost of labor must be included in item quote. - (LED Lighting Upgrade Required) Lighting (including bulb and fixture) in the lower mezzanine will be replaced one-for-one with a new LED equivalent. Installation of LED lighting above two (2) stair cases going up to Mezzanine, also must install switches for those lights. Cost of labor must be included in item quote There are currently no lights installed. - (LED Lighting Required) The switches for the LED Lighting above the stair cases must be 4-way switches to work with the current 3-way upper mezzanine light switches.
