Description | As of January 17, 2023, construction is underway. A timeline for completion has not been confirmed. Description of Work: This contract provides for the improvement of the concrete girders of the Fox Island Bridge #26211-A, at Pier 17 and Pier 20, by removing the existing steel bearing plates and replacing them with elastomeric bearing pads, repair the ends of existing concrete girders, and other work in accordance with and as described in the Plans and Specifications. Pierce County, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award.
