Description | Complete proposals will be received for the following work categories in accordance with drawings and specifications as prepared by the Architect, Engineers and Construction Manager. BID CATEGORY 1: MECHANICAL - ALL TRADES This project consists of Mechanical Renovations to Zilwaukee Elementary School. The Mechanical contractor shall bid as prime and shall include all trades work in their proposal. This project will be funded by federal ESSER Funds so the payment of Davis-Bacon Wages is required. The Owner requires that SEALED BIDS be delivered to the school district's administration building prior to the bid due date and time. No email or electronic bidding (through Building Connected) is allowed. All questions regarding the plans and specifications are to be emailed to Tim Muter - Project Superintendent (tim@rchendrick.com). *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.($2M-3M) 1. Pay for all permits. Permits required include: Mechanical, plumbing, electrical. Permits are through the State of Michigan - NOT LOCAL 2. Schedule periodic inspections as required with Inspectors. 3. The awarded mechanical contractor is responsible for ALL work including but not limited to; plumbing, mechanical, electrical, temperature controls, roofing, concrete, structural steel, etc. 4. Provide all demolition, cutting, and patching as required to provide a complete system. 5. Provide and install any equipment pads as required for your work. 6. Provide removal of existing equipment as required for the installation of new work. 7. Provide relocation of existing piping and equipment for the installation of new work. 8. Provide patching of existing floors, walls, and roofs as needed and required. 9. Provide water and air balance as required. 10. Provide and install temperature controls as required for a complete heating system. 11. Provide all electrical work as required for a complete functional system including relocation of electrical conduit and equipment as required to install the new boilers, pumps and miscellaneous equipment. 12. Provide proper sealing of all penetrations. Boiler walls are rated one hour and all penetrations shall meet the one-hour fire rating. 13. Include all cutting and coring of walls, floors, ceilings, etc. as required for the installation of your work. 14. Remove / Replace ceilings as required for your work. 15. Include any roof patching / flashing as required. 16. Building must be kept water tight at all times. Any damage resulting from contractor leaving building open will be paid for at contractor's expense. 17. A General Trades allowance of $150,000 shall be included in the mechanical contractor bid. 18. Exclude from bid all associated cooling work, including electrical, chiller, pumps, pads, chilled water piping and controls for cooling and associated equipment. 19. Reference drawing M4.02. Unit Ventilators Schedule Note #2: Mechanical TCC shall provide 24- volt power for electronic air filter in lieu of Electrical Contractor. 20. Electrical: Refer to Sheet E2.02. Keyed Note #6: Change to read single line conduit represent the existing (4) paralleled conduits derived from the utility transformers secondary into the Boiler Room. The installation intends to utilize the existing conduits for the new service conductors into the new MDP. Extend / Rework the conduits within the Boiler Room for connection for the new MDP. Reference Keyed Note #2 and Keyed Note #3 on Sheet E3.01 that defines the new secondary service. 21. Refer to Sheet E3.01. Reference LP-G one line. The (2) 20-amp, 3-pull circuit breakers are not correct. Furnish and install 20-amp single pull circuit breakers. Utility transformer's location is not shown. Transformer is located just outside the Boiler Room within a chain link fence. |
