Contact all utility companies for the exact location of underground utilities before boring, trenching or any other work that might interfere with or damage existing utilities. Place construction points, stakes, and marks at intervals of no more than 100 ft., or as directed. Place stakes and marks so as not to interfere with normal maintenance operations. Repair any damage caused to utilities by Contractor operations at own expense and restore service in a timely manner. The primary objective of this Special Provision is the training and advancement of minorities, women and economically disadvantaged persons toward journeyworker status. Accordingly, make every effort to enroll minority, women and economically disadvantaged persons to the extent that such persons are available within a reasonable area of recruitment.
