Benson/Brown Home Relocation & Restoration

The historic Benson/Brown Home and historic water turbines will be relocated to the southeastern portion of the property per the attached site plan including a new foundation and electrical, and the building will be stabilized and rehabilitated in accordance with Town of Jackson Land Development Regulations addressing historic properties, WY State Historic Preservation Office standards, and the Secretary of the Interior Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties. Contractor is required to document the existing historic electrical turbines, and concrete sluiceway structures located in the basement of the building. After documentation, and before demolition of the basement, these turbines must be removed, structurally stabilized and stored on site in a location to be determined for future reuse. Contractor is also required to design and build a foundation for the building that includes a crawl space. The foundation plans must be stamped and must meet Town of Jackson standards.
