Description

For all work and materials necessary to repair and/or replace roofs, Hot Springs High School, Hot Springs Tays Auditorium, Hot Springs Middle School, Hot Springs Bus Storage, Hot Springs Storage (2), Hot Springs Elementary, Hot Springs Bison Center Gym, Hot Springs School District 23-2, Hot Springs, SD. Any bid received after the closing will be returned unopened.The decision on bids will be made at a regular board meeting within 7 days after opening. Bid security will be required in the form of cashiers check or certified check drawn on a solvent bank in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the largest possible total for the bid submitted, or a bid bond in an amount of not less than ten (10) percent of the largest possible total, made payable to the Owner. A Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond will be required. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any or all informalities. No bidder may withdraw his bid for at least thirty (30) days after the scheduled closing time for the receiving of bids. Project Physical Address: High School, 110 North 16th Street; Tays Auditorium, 146 1/2 North 16th; Middle School, 146 North 16th; Bus Storage Building & Storage Building, 19th & University Ave; Storage Building, 17th & Lincoln Ave; Elementary School, 19th & Lincoln Ave;Bison Center Gym, 1747 Lincoln Ave, Hot Springs, SD Qualified contractors are invited to bid the Hot Springs Schools District Roof project with exception to the Case Auditorium and the Shop Building. 1. Roof systems shall consist of a Firestone EPDM Fully Adhered Roof System or demonstrated equal like and kind. o Repair or replace roof system as identified by insurance adjuster. o All metal flashings will be removed, if applicable. o Existing membrane shall be removed or prepped per manufacturer requirements for warranty, if applicable. o Any moisture damaged roof insulation will be replaced in accordance with manufacture specifications and to meet specified warranty, if applicable. o New insulation to be installed in accordance with the manufacturer of the insulation, if applicable. o Install new 60 mil (single ply) EPDM membrane per manufacturer specifications for said warranty or demonstrated equal like and kind. o Install new wall and curb flashings per manufacturer specifications, if applicable. o Install new pipe, conduit, and penetration flashings per manufacturer specifications, if applicable. o Install new 24 gauge pre-finished cap metal to match existing pre-finished metal flashings, if applicable. o New metal flashings and gravel stops will be installed in accordance with manufacture specifications, if applicable. o Repair or replace damaged Seamless gutter system, if applicable. o Project site is to be cleaned of all construction debris.
