Description | Proposals from qualified engineering firms for the design and bidding documents for the replacement of mechanical Climber Screens at the Kenduskeag Pump Station and at the Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP). Scope: All engineering work must be performed by, or under the direct supervision of a professional engineer licensed to work in the State of Maine. The scope of services includes, but is not limited to, the following tasks: Preliminary Engineering: 1. Review existing conditions and needs for additional solids removal and handling. 2. Work closely with City staff to fully identify facility needs and features. 3. Write a report documenting analysis and recommendations. 4. Develop a conceptual design to be reviewed by City staff. 5. Meet with City staff to review project (assume a minimum of 3 meetings during the design process) Final Design Engineering 1. Develop final design based on preliminary design and input received during the preliminary engineering phase. 2. Prepare a detail cost estimate for the project. 3. Prepare construction and bidding documents for the project. |
