Description

**As of May 8, 2023, bids were rejected. No definite date for the rebid.** Addendum if applicable will be issued on Friday, March 17, 2023. All bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et. seq., Affirmative Action Against Discrimination (N.J.A.C.17:27 et deq.). An Initial Project Manning Report will be requested from the successful bidder (Form AA201) A Bidder on public works for a Board of Education where the cost of the work exceeds $20,000.00 must first have been qualified by the Department of the Treasury, Division of Building and Construction, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A: 18A-27 through 33 and shall submit with his bid a copy of a valid and active NOTICE OF CLASSIFICATION and a certified copy of a Total Amount of Uncompleted Contracts Form. Single prime bids will be received for all work. Each bid shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond, cashier's check or certified check made payable to the Wharton Borough Board of Education for ten percent (10%) of the amount of the total bid, however, not to exceed $20,000.00. Corporate bidders are required by law (Chapter 33, Laws of 1977) to submit a list of the names and addresses of all stockholders owning 10% or more of their stock. A Non-Collusion Affidavit and a Contractor Questionnaire/Certification also must be filed with the bid. The Bid package shall also include other documents that must be completed and returned with the bid. Failure to comply with bid specifications and to complete and submit all required forms will be cause for disqualification and rejection of bid. All technical questions, comments, and inquiries should be directed in writing to Coppa Montalbano Architects no later than Wednesday, March 15, 2023, via Fax 973-890-8855 or email jmolina@coppamontalbano.com . The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-18, N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-2(s), (t), (x), (y), 18A:18A-4 (a-c), and N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-22, and to waive any informalities and to take such alternate(s) that the Board feels are in the best interest of the Board. Scope- The project includes, but is not limited to, the replacement of existing double-hung windows at first & second floors of MacKinnon Middle School with new picture/hopper windows. The scope of work includes demolition of existing windows, protection of all existing items, such as brick, interior finishes, millwork, etc. During duration of the project, and installation of new windows and associated components.
