Description | From qualified licensed Contractors for ITB B180-0-2022/DRS; Blue Spring Nutrient Reduction Septic to Sewer Project, Phase I and IA. This project is a Federally assisted construction project, requiring compliance with Davis-Bacon prevailing wages, weekly certified payroll and statements of compliance from the Contractor and all subcontractors throughout construction. All proposed iron and steel products for this project are required to comply of the Federal Water Pollution Contract Act; and shall comply with the American Iron and Steel (AIS) Requirement as detailed in the October 2017 revision of the FDEP Supplementary Conditions. The City of Orange City, Florida is accepting sealed bids to competitively select a qualified licensed GENERAL CONTRACTOR to provide construction services associated with ITB B180-0-2022/DRS as specified by the Technical Manual and Construction Plans associated with this project. This is a grant-funded project utilizing State Revolving Funds (SRF) obligated through a Florida Department of Environmental and subject to audit under all Federal, State and City requirements that apply. This Contract has been prepared to comply with the Septic to Sewer Conversion Program which consists of the proper abandonment of septic tanks (as per Chapter 64E-6.011), connection of sewer lateral and grey water lines to the City of Orange City (City) sewer systems, and construction of new sewer main, manholes, and lift stations as shown on the plans. The project includes repair to asphalt and concrete hardscapes as well as repairs associated with the new work. The Contractor shall provide all materials, equipment, labor, supervision, and all incidentals associated with the construction of the Blue Springs Nutrient Reduction Project, Phase I and II in Orange City. The project shall consist of, but is not limited to: Obtaining all required permits from the Orange City and Department of Health; Pump out existing septic tanks; Connect all the sewer cleanouts and grey water lines to the City lateral; Abandon existing tanks; Backfill and compact all disturbed areas; Construct new sewer main; Construct new sewer manholes; Construct new lift stations and all associated components; Seed and Mulch restorations; Removal and replacement of fencing; Removal and replacement of concrete and Removal and replacement of asphalt. The work may also include coordinating with overhead utilities (Power, communications, etc.) along the alignment included in the scope. M/WBE's are encouraged to participate in the bid process.
