Water Valve Exercising Program

The Work will be awarded under Authority Contract No. VP-1 for the Water Valve Exercising Program, in order to locate Authority water main system isolation valves, evaluate their respective conditions, perform valve exercising to ensure their intended function and proper operation, and enhance the Authority’s GIS data system. Bidders shall possess the ability to repair and/or rehabilitate valves; however, valve repair and/or rehabilitation will not be included as part of the base scope of this Contract. The term of the Work and Contract shall be for a minimum base period of 5 years. The Work services shall generally include, but not necessarily be limited to, physical location of valves, field condition assessments, proper exercising of valves, reporting, compliant electronic data deliverables (including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office Suite Products, ESRI ArcGIS, etc.), and provisions for minor valve repair and/or rehabilitation at the discretion of the Owner.
