Description

This project involves 5 discrete items. Four project items involve rehabilitation and/or modification of wooden boardwalks totaling approximately 980 linear ft, all approximately 6 ft in width, all located in emergent wetlands or forested wetlands. Services will involve assessment of the condition and serviceability of existing boardwalk structures, and replacement of elements requiring immediate or short-term rehabilitation. The additional project item involves removal and replacement of one wooden observation deck (12 ft x 34 ft), constructed on helical piles. All elements of the deck above the piles will be demolished and removed. The piles will then be extended up (elevated) approximately 3 ft. The deck will then be reconstructed at the new elevation using all new materials. The work consists of providing all labor, material, and equipment for the related demolition, rehabilitation, and construction of these boardwalks, and the observation deck.
