DNR Hidden Springs State Forest Sidewalk Replacement

1) Cast-In-Place Concrete Refer to ACI 302 guide for concrete slab construction, place concrete in accordance with ACI 304 and IDOT Specifications section 1020.01. Concrete mix and deliver concrete in accordance with ASTM C94, Compressive strength of (28 days) 4000 psi or greater, slump 4 inches plus or minus 1 inch. 2) Reinforcement, the concrete reinforcements shall meet or exceed IDOT specifications 1006.10 and will be accepted according to the requirements of AASHTO M 55 OR M221. 3) The finished surface will consist of a light broom, non-slip finish. The concrete, placement, finishing, control/expansion joints shall not exceed five-foot intervals on sidewalks and meet the requirements of Article 420.05, of the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, April 1, 2016 or most current Supplemental Specifications and Recurring Special Provisions. 4) Contractor is responsible for a clean-up in and around the work area. All materials removed from the project plus packaging and shipping materials need to be removed from the site and properly disposed of off-site.
