The General Services Administration, Public Buildings Service, Acquisition Management Division requires snow plowing and snow removal services at the following locations: Philip J. Philbin Federal Building MA0129ZZ 881 Main Street Fitchburg, MA 01420 Exterior Public Parking areas SF 12,320 Employee Parking Lot Area SF19,250 Access Roadway & Parking Area SF 12,145 Sidewalks (including entrances) SF 0 Entrance Steps SF 0 10 Year Average of Snow - 71.89 Inches The services required may include but should not be interpreted as all inclusive or limited to the following: Snow plowing driveways and parking lots (i.e., not combined with any other service) 3.) Snow Plowing. Snow plowing shall commence when local accumulation reaches [two (2) inches]. Snow plowing shall be accomplished by the Contractor to maintain safe passage for access into buildings, parking areas, roadways, approaches, vehicular courts, ramps, etc. In the event of icy rain or snow, sanding shall commence to maintain a safe passage on all paved roadways, parking lots, driveways, ramps and walkways. 4.) Snow Removal: Snow must be removed from the site when the accumulation exceeds that which can be pushed off of the roads, parking areas, ramps and walkways without blocking traffic, parking spaces and pedestrian thoroughfares; or impedes the visibility of vehicular operators, pedestrians or tenant agency operations. Stockpiling of snow is not allowed at the P.J. Philbin Federal Office Building.
