Description

Bidders must be classified by the Division under N.J.S.A. 52:35-1 et seq and must submit bid security as provided in Instructions to Bidders and General Conditions, Revised December 2015. No bidder may withdraw his bid for 60 calendar days after the opening. The State may reject any and all bids in accordance with applicable law. Single Bid (lump sum all trades) General Construction (C008) or General Construction / Alterations & Additions (C009) or Demolition (C021) $1,108,500 All questions regarding registration shall be addressed to: Contractor Registration Unit New Jersey Department of Labor Division of Wage & Hour Compliance P O Box 389 Trenton NJ 08625-0389 Telephone: 609-292-9464 FAX: 609-633-8591 For the lump sum prices bid on this Contract, the Prime Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials and equipment required for the removal and disposal of buildings, water tanks, hazardous material, utility abandonment, and site restoration. When the project is complete, the site shall be void of all structures and pavement and will be restored to a vegetated state as described in these Specifications and as indicated on the Drawings. In general, the work shall include the site investigation, site preparation, demolition work, waste removal, testing, well decommissioning, soil and demolition debris disposal, site restoration, and final cleanup. Work related to plumbing and electrical work shall be included as part of this single overall contract. During the course of construction, all subcontractors shall cooperate regarding the use of available facilities and undertake the work within their contract areas of responsibility so as to facilitate the work of other subcontracts. The scheduling of work shall be coordinated by the Prime Contractor with the review of the Engineer. Time scheduling shall be arranged to enable all subcontractors to work at the same time so far as may be practical. The Prime Contractor shall be responsible for overall construction operations at the site and other various items of work. Regularly scheduled job meetings shall be held at least twice per month to resolve differences relating to coordination of the various phases of the work. Site cleanup shall be the responsibility of the Prime Contractor and he shall have the cooperation of all subcontractors on the site in this regard. All work included on the Drawings and in the Specifications shall be completed in full without further compensation than is provided for in the Lump Sum Price regardless of whether or not such work is specifically mentioned in the following Scope of Work. Brief general descriptions of the various components of the work are set forth in the sections which follow.
