Description

Constructing approximately 16,400 lineal feet of 30-inch and 10,900 lineal feet of 36-inch ductile iron pipe irrigation transmission line. The Owner has procured the ductile iron pipe and butterfly valves for the project under a separate contract to expedite the project schedule, which will be assigned to the awarded Contractor. Per the procurement contract, it is anticipated that pipeline and valve materials will begin to be available starting in early June, 2021. The remaining pipeline fittings and materials necessary to complete the project will be furnished by the awarded Contractor. The 30-inch irrigation line is to be constructed from 104th Avenue and Belle Creek Boulevard to Potomac Street along the Public Service corridor south of 104th Avenue, continuing east as 36-inch irrigation line from Potomac Street to Landmark Drive along the same corridor. The pipeline is primarily located within easements along the corridor. The pipeline alignment has approximately 1,700 lineal feet of 42-inch bored steel casing pipe at six different locations, including crossing Highway 85, the Union Pacific Railroad, Interstate 76, and Highway 2/BNSF Railroad, as well as two other smaller bore areas. The transmission line also crosses FRICOs OBrian Canal with a 42-inch steel casing pipe and Second Creek with 48-inch steel casing pipe, both as open-cut installations.
