Federal# / IRIS Program#: 0932047 / Z693930000 Region: Southcoast Region This project will construct improvements on Egan Drive Road from Main Street to 10th Street which functions as a major transportation corridor into downtown Juneau. The Project will: -Widen the roadway and relocate or adjust medians to accommodate addition of bike lanes and wider sidewalks -Reconstruct the structural pavement section, re-grade and resurface intersecting streets to match new Egan Drive configurations -Widen Egan seaward by constructing a Mechanically Stabilized Earth (MSE) wall along approximately 1,300 linear feet between West Eighth Street and Whittier Street -Repair existing concrete retaining wall under the Merchant's Wharf building and replace part of timber retaining wall under the Merchant's Wharf parking area -Replace bridge rail and remove transition rail, re-slope the sidewalk to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act, add a waterproof membrane and resurface the bridge deck, and add new name place signs on Gold Creek Bridge -Remove, replace, and extend storm drainage systems , slip line storm drains -Realign storm drain and conduit for utilities -Relocate/replace electrical conduit and luminaires, valve boxes, manholes, above ground power and telephone utility boxes -Replace and realign the traffic signals within the corridor, -Remove two existing pedestrian lookouts -Replace signs and install new way finding signs to direct pedestrian and bicycle traffic Engineer's Estimate Range: Between $10,000,000 and $20,000,000 AKDOT - Jnu Egan Drive Improvements - Main Street to 10th Street
