Description | **As of March 9, 2023 project was awarded to Jeff Asbell Excavating & Trucking Inc. awarded amount is $1,004,882.53** Director of Public Works of the City of Joplin, Missouri, will accept sealed bids for the following improvements in the City of Joplin, Missouri: Project: EAST TOWN INFRASTRUCTURE SANITARY SEWER, PHASE 2 CDBG GRANT No. B-21-MC-29-0008 This work consists of open cut point repairs of 8 to 10 dia. sanitary sewer mains; open cut lateral connection repairs; renovation of existing manholes by applying non-corrosive linings; reconstruction of 4-foot concrete retaining walls; installation of new 8 sewer main piping with associated manholes, lateral re-connections, and tracer wire appurtenances; and all other miscellaneous work required for completion of the project. This project is being supported with U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, Community Development Block Grant Entitlement grant funding. Therefore, certain restrictions and other federal requirements attach to this opportunity. Bids received from bidders who have not attended the Pre-Bid Meeting and signed the attendance sheet at the meeting will be considered nonresponsive. The successful bidder will have to sign an agreement that they are enrolled and participating in a Federal Work Authorization Program (FWAP) that ensures that all of its employees or agents or subcontractors have the legal right to work in the United States, as defined in 8 U.S.C. 1324a(h)(3) and RSMo 285.525-285.555, and that it will maintain this compliance for the entire duration of its contract with the City of Joplin, and will provide an Affidavit of Compliance to the City stating the same. The City of Joplin hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, Disadvantaged Business Enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, sex, or national origin in consideration for an award. Also, the contractor will be required to have an approved Affirmative Action Program. Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirement that an Affirmative Action Program must be adopted by the contractor and approved by the Affirmative Action Committee of the City of Joplin before the contract may be executed. |
