Description

The scope of work associated with this project includes the removal/disposal of existing HVAC systems, installation of new HVAC systems, installation of new line sets and all inspection/permitting fees. All work is to be performed in accordance with current North Carolina code The purpose of this advertisement is to solicit and procure a single prime contractor to remove all HVAC systems that contain the R-22 refrigerant and replace with new up to date HVAC systems, equivalent to existing, at select City of Raleigh Fire Stations. The Contractor shall furnish a Payment Bond, each equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price within 10 days of being notified of award of contract. Bonds given shall meet the requirements of the law of the State of North Carolina including but not limited to G.S. 143-129 and G.S. 44A-26. The surety on each Bond shall be a surety company satisfactory to the City and duly authorized to do business in the State of North Carolina. The City has an aspirational goal of 15% of the total contract amount to be performed by MWBE businesses in contracts awarded by the City for: (i) construction and building projects of $300,000 or more; and (ii) construction and building projects of $100,000 or more that have any state funding (PROJECTS $30,000 - $299,999) *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Owner's Site Conditions Allowance: Eight Thousand Dollars and zero cents ($8,000.00) (Note that the Owner's Site Conditions Allowance shall only be used when pre-authorized in writing by the City.) No Bid may be withdrawn for Forty-Five (45) days after opening time. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities.
