Description | For the furnishing of all necessary materials, machinery, equipment, labor, superintendence, and all other services and appurtenances required for the Jefferson St. WTP Chlorine Feed Improvements. The scope of this project is to modify the Chlorine Solution (CLS) Injection Systems at the Jefferson Water Treatment Plant in Laredo, Texas. One Chlorine Injection Point shall be transferred from the rapid mix building to an exiting injection point, upstream of the rapid mix building upgrading existing 3" PVC piping to 4" Chlorinated PVC (CPVC). A second CLS pipe segment shall be upgraded from 3" PVC to 3" CPVC. All new pipe segments shall be laid in duplicate for redundancy. Bids shall be based on Base Bid and shall include dollar amount for improvements including those items listed as alternatives as per the Schedule of Values included in the specifications of this project. Submit completed Schedule of Values form with the Base Bid. Each proposal and the proposal guaranty must be originals and must be sealed in an envelope plainly marked with the name of the project as shown above, and the name and address of the Bidder. When submitted by mail, this envelope shall be placed in another envelope addressed as indicated in this Notice to Bidders. Only proposals and proposal guaranties actually in the hands of the designated official at the time set in this Notice to Bidders shall be considered. Proposals submitted by telephone, telegraph, or fax, will not be considered. Bidders are expressly advised to review Section C-3.10 of the General Conditions of the proposed Contract as to the causes which may lead to the disqualification of a bidder and/or the rejection of a bid proposal. Unless all bids rejected. Owner agrees to give Notice of Award of Contract to the successful bidder within sixty (60) days from the date of the bid opening. Bidders are expected to inspect the site of the work and inform themselves regarding all local conditions. The City is not responsible for bids not being delivered in a timely manner. Bidders are encouraged to drop-off manual sealed bids personally, and wait for confirmation from the City Secretary's Office that the bid has been received. |
