| Description | Project involves the implementation of remedial activities selected for the Former Adirondack Steel Site, located 191 Watervliet-Shaker Road in the Town of Colonie, Albany County. These activities include, but are not necessarily limited to, excavation and offsite disposal of sediment and soil contaminated with polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) from Operable Units (OU) 2 and 3. Work will include water management during construction, excavation of Gas House Creek and channelized stream adjacent to an active railroad, and restoration of the site/surrounding areas impacted by the remedial action. |
