Description | This project is to construct a new K-8 School on the former Heroes School site, located at 715 W. 20th Street, Pueblo, Colorado 81003. This project includes the construction of a new approximately 675-student K-8 school that includes offices, classrooms, media center, cafeteria, kitchen, gymnasium and parking-access areas. The project also includes the possible renovation of the existing athletic fields. The project will be approximately 78,000 – gross square feet (gsf) of new school construction. Additional infrastructure, beyond the building boundary, will become a part of this project and would include vehicle access (roadway re-alignment), parking, sidewalks, exterior lighting, storm drainage control features and landscaping, with a complete total estimated project cost not to exceed $30 million which includes all design costs, constructions costs, owners contingency, and fees. Project-specific elements are: 1. State and Local Energy Code compliance and/or similar LEED Certification. 2. Coordination of construction with access/use of surrounding facilities (athletic fields and tennis courts). 3. Protection of any sensitive native landscape adjacent to construction. 4. CM services from conceptual, schematic and construction document design phase to include cost estimates, schedule, constructability reviews, and value engineering suggestions. 5. GMP established at design development phase. 6. Electronic delivery and storage of project documents, including submittals, shop drawings, As-Build drawings, meeting minutes, schedules, and RFIs. 7. BIM Modeling and coordination of architect-delivered design documents. 8. Demolition of existing facilities and proper disposal of all asbestos containing materials in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations. 9. CMGC will schedule, organize and lead all design, project and progress meetings. |
