Description

1. The successful bidder must either be on the VDOT Materials Section Qualified Wood Treatment Plants list or furnish written documentation with the order (prior to delivery/unloading of the bridge timbers) that all the wood furnished was treated at one of the VDOT approved plants listed on the VDOT (45) Qualified Wood Treatment Plants – (Chemistry Lab). Reference the approved Material Section Qualified Wood Treatment Plants – (Chemistry Lab) list, Attachment F. 2. All lumber supplied shall conform to Section 236 (Wood Products) of the 2020 Virginia Department of Transportation Road and Bridge Specifications, or latest edition, and AASHTO M168 requirements.
