Hilo WWTP Upgrades - Phase 1 Construction - County of Hawaii

As of June 9, 2023, all bids have been received but an award has not been issued. Further details regarding design and construction have not been identified. A firm timeline for construction has not been established; however, the project was out to bid in March and is anticipated to begin construction this year. A detailed scope has not been identified. The first phase of the project will consist of replacements for much of the plant’s equipment, including a new headworks facility — where wastewater enters the facility — a new electrical building, new anaerobic digesters, modifications to the plant’s primary intake channel, and more.
