Description | The work generally consists of installation of temporary effluent management, removal of the existing liner, and installing a new 152,000 square foot liner for existing effluent pond. Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond with Power of Attorney attached or cashier's check of five percent (5%) of the total amount bid (sum of all bid items) made payable to Senna Hills M.U.D. Bidders should read and understand all terms and conditions contained in the Contract Documents. Contract Time is of the essence and all Work shall be substantially completed within 90 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed. Liquidated damages are $500 per calendar day. A Bid which, in the opinion of OWNER's staff, deviates from the Contract Documents, and which has not been clarified through a written Addendum prior to Bid submittal deadline, shall be considered an exception to the Contract Documents and grounds for the Bid to be rejected. Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive any informalities and irregularities in Bids received. The deadline to ask questions is 4/27/2022 11:50 PM CDT The project shall consists of the following: - Diverting effluent delivery to the pond at the wastewater treatment plant, add temporary holding tanks and temporary pumping to effluent irrigation system. - Removal and disposal of existing pond liner. - Earthwork and grading of existing pond slopes/bowl, to establish smooth side slopes. - Installation of new geotextile fabric and liner. - Removal and replacement of rescue ropes. - All other work and materials shown on the drawings and/or specifications or as otherwise described to provide a satisfactory effluent pond liner. This work is to be done in coordination with the ongoing operations and maintenance of the Inframark Water and Infrastructure Services and effluent irrigation of Senna Hills M.U.D., which must be kept in operation and secure from intruder access. No disruptions to the operations of the Treatment Plant or Effluent Pond will be allowed. |
