Demolition of Existing SOD and Preparation of Soil for Installation of Turf Grass

The City is requesting bids to demo and haul off existing Bermuda turf through a combination of scalping, tilling and/or box-blading to a minimum of 2” to include the existing thatch layer. Additional top-soil planting base should be added so that finished grade of the installed turf is not more the .5” above or below current grade. Planting base should be compacted to minimize voids and/or ridges that will affect the smoothness of the field. Contractor to supply all necessary equipment; the City will supply all necessary fencing while maintaining full-sized vehicular access. The specs/dimension of each field is as follows: ? Sandstone Ridge Park (1661 West Hammer Lane): Approximately 210,000 square feet ? Cheyenne Soccer (3500 E. Cheyenne Road): Approximately 92,500 square feet per field (total of 185,000 sq. ft.) ? Cheyenne Stadium (3500 E. Cheyenne Road): Approximately 95,000 square feet.
