Description | As of October 14th, 2022, this contract just recently was awarded to Estes Bros. Const., Inc. However, no awarded amount was given. The Project consists of the installation of approximately 7,000 linear feet (lf) of 8-inch waterline, 7,312 lf. of 6-inch waterline, 575 lf. of 4-inch waterline, 1,746 lf of 2-inch waterline, 735 lf of 1 service line, 2,818 lf. of inch service line, six (6) 8-inch gate valves, eight (8) 6-inch gate valves, two (2) 4-inch gate valves, five (5) 2-inch gate valves, eight (8) blow-off valves, four (4) air release valves, eleven (11) fire hydrants, one hundred twenty-one (121) meter reconnections, and associated appurtenances. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a per item unit price and lump sum basis. The Project is funded through the Virginia Department of Health, the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development, and the Appalachian Regional Commission. MBE/WBE firms are encouraged to submit bids. Bidders must comply with the following the Presidents Executive Order # 11246 prohibiting discrimination in employment regarding race, color, creed, sex, or national origin; the Presidents Executive Orders # 12138 and 11625 regarding utilization of MBE/WBE firms; the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Davis-Bacon Act; and Section 436 of P.L. 113-76 American Iron and Steel. Bidders must certify that they do not or will not maintain or provide for their employees any facilities that are segregated on the basis of race, color, creed, or national origin. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Prospective Bidders may examine and obtain the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Monday through Thursday between the hours of 7:30 am 5:30 pm and Friday between the hours of 8:00 am 12:00 pm. Prospective Bidders may also examine copies of the Bidding Documents provided by the Issuing Office at the locations identified below. Bidding Documents also may be examined at Lee County Public Service Authority, 397 Park Street, Jonesville, Virginia 24263. Checks for Bidding Documents shall be payable to The Lane Group, Inc. Upon request and receipt of the document deposit indicated above plus a non-refundable shipping charge, the Issuing Office will transmit the Bidding Documents via delivery service. The shipping charge amount will depend on the shipping method selected by the prospective Bidder. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidders date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. |
