Description

1. The St. Lucie County Solid Waste Baling & Recycling Facility currently receives an average of 50 tons of waste tires per month. This bid is for the hauling (including fuel and labor), processing, and recycling of all waste tires received at the Facility. 2. Tires include 20” rim size or smaller tires, tires with a rim size over 20”, off roads, and floats. Some tires will be on rims. Off-road tires, floats, and tires with rim sizes larger than 20” will be segregated and loaded separately. 3. All trucks with trailers picking up tires will be weighed upon entering and leaving at the Scale House at our facility. The net weight will be the basis for payment. 4. St. Lucie County staff will load tires into the contractor/subcontractor trucks with trailers for transporting. All reasonable attempts will be made to keep dirt and rock to a minimum. - Requests for removal of tires will be on an as-needed basis.
