Cleaning of Sludge Storage Tanks and Digesters - Yonkers Joint Water Resource Recovery Facility

It is the County’s intent to clean two tanks under this contract which may consist of two primary digesters or one primary digester and one sludge storage tank. The two tank will be selected by the owner prior to the contractor mobilizing to the site. The first tank (bid item #1) plus the Miscellaneous Additional Work (Bid Item #2) will be considered the base bid for the contract. If sufficient funds are available the County intends to award the contract including the Base Bid plus the Add Alternate # 1. The work shall include all labor, material and equipment necessary to remove/transport all solids/liquids and disposal of such from each tank and cleaning of each tank. The work to be performed under this Contract consists of furnishing labor, equipment materials and permits for cleaning of Sludge Storage and Digester Tank(s) and safe removal of sewage sludge, grit, rags, scum and grease from sludge digesters and sludge storage tank(s) and disposing it in a manner compliant with local, state and federal regulations. The Contract duration is for eighteen (18) months.
