Description

The Smart 25 Project entails the installation of new sensor equipment and an upgrade of the existing Ethernet system along I-25 between the Ridgegate (MP 192) and University (MP 205) Interchanges. The new equipment will allow CDOT to test an Australian concept that may improve peak period flows on I-25 by up to 20%. Upon completion of the installation of the equipment, CDOT will implement a six-month demonstration period to evaluate the effectiveness of coordinating ramp metering.
