Description | This Naval Air Station - Whidbey Island (NAS-WI) facilities project includes, along with all incidental related work, the construction of a two-story, approximately 27,160 SF (Primary Facility), low rise, steel-framed, support facility of the EA-18G Aircraft FRS Training program located adjacent to the existing Hangar 12 (Building 2737) within the Flight Line Security Area at this installation. The primary site of this mission critical training, shop & office facility will provide support space for the expansion of the FRS training program along with associated mission administration space, maintenance shops, work-centers and storage for the expanded mission support. The primary site will require the construction of temporary security fencing and gates along the construction limit perimeter to create a Work Enclave area, thereby allowing direct access to the primary work site. Provide escorts for all work within the Flightline Security Area that is outside the approved Enclave area, which includes (but not limited to) utility upgrades, service connections and fire protection upgrades to the adjacent Building 2737 -Hangar 12's (East facing) facade as indicated. The secondary site of this project will provide additional parking at a nearby location that is not located inside the Flightline Security Area. With Contracting Officer's (KO) approval, this secondary site may be used as an off-premises temporary staging and laydown area for the duration of the contract. Provide temporary fencing to safeguard stored equipment and materials. Temporary Facilities: Modular Office Facility: This project also includes, along with all incidental related work, the install, hook-up and removal of a Government use (only) modular office facility. |
