Description | To remove trees and stumps from Village owned property which are larger than 14” DBH which the Village needs to have removed by a contractor. This will be a five part program which includes the following: Part A: Tree Removals: Safely and completely remove trees, including grinding of the stumps, which are 14 inches DBH and larger. Wood chips, logs and grinding residual generated by these removals must be removed and properly disposed of by the contractor. Tree removal location list will be provided by the Village Forester. Part B: Stump Removals: Safely and completely remove the stumps and grinding residual of trees, less than 14 inches DBH that were removed by the Village, and properly dispose of the same. Tree removal location list will be provided by the Village Forester. Part C: Tree Pruning: Prune dead wood, broken branches, and epicormic shoots/ sucker growth from trees larger than 14 inches DBH. No live thinning of the outer canopy for light penetration or air circulation. Tree trimming location list will be provided by the Village Forester. Part D: Storm damage Removal: Provide a crew, tools, chipper and truck with chipper box to pick up limbs from storm damaged trees which have been brought to the curb by residents. Wood chips from the storm damage are to be delivered to the Public Works chip pile at 474 Congress Circle Roselle IL. Maps will be provided to the crew of streets with storm damage requiring pick up. Part E: Emergency call out: Provide a crew and equipment to safely remove trees which are greater than 14” DBH. Logs and stumps may be left on site until regular working hours. |
