Description | 1. Scope of Work: a) Contractor shall pressure wash and scrape the exterior of the building to remove all of the loose and peeling paint on the exterior of the building. Clean up of removed debris will be cleaned up daily to provide a clean workspace. b) Contractor shall be responsible for containing, collecting, removal and disposal of all debris in accordance with all state and federal regulations. c) Contractor shall ensure that the exterior of the building is completely dry before starting any prep and repair work to the exterior surface of the building. d) Contractor shall repair any damaged EIFS surfaces using an EIFS-based repair compound and a polyester reinforcing fabric on all areas that are to be repaired. e) Contractor shall inspect all building control joints and downspout areas remove and re-caulk any deficient installation as needed with the appropriate size backer rod and paintable elastomeric caulking that is designed for this type of installation. f) Contractor shall paint all exterior louvers/mesh, edge metal and downspouts with the selected color, using two coats of DTM after the surfaces have been properly prepared and primed. g) Contractor shall prime all exterior bare surfaces an exterior elastomeric primer and ensure the surfaced are completely dry prior to the application of two coats of exterior elastomeric paint at the required application rate of the manufacturer on the complete exterior of the building. h) Contractor shall mask off all adjacent surfaces that are not scheduled to be painted while the painting process is ongoing in the area. i) For all existing window frames, door and door jambs that are currently painted, Contractor shall paint using the appropriate color with the same process stated above for the exterior louvers and edge metal using two coats of DTM after the surfaces have been properly prepared and primed. j) Contractor shall provide all break facilities for its work force and for maintaining such facilities in an acceptable, professional manner. |
