Forestry Mulching

Forestry Mulching at select locations on MDOT roads in 21 counties of MDOT's North Region. Scope of Work: Furnish labor and equipment necessary to complete forestry mulching at locations specified by MDOT's Transportation Maintenance Coordinator. Conduct forestry mulching using a heavy duty tracked vehicle with rotary grinding, FECON-style grinding heads. (The brand name FECON is used for comparison purposes only.) Contract administrator reserves the right to determine acceptability of proposed equipment to be used. Dead saplings will be mulched down. All areas designated for grinding shall have trees, stumps, woody residue, and vegetation mulched, ground, or chipped with by-product uniformly spread over contract area. Traffic control will be provided by contractor. Must provide Proof of Insurance. All work will be done to MDOT specifications which can be obtained on the Emmet County Road Commission's website. Limits of the Job: To be completed before 09/30/22, as needed within 21 counties of the MDOT North Region. All bidders must bid by "Price per Hour". Note: This is an "as needed" contract that covers 21 counties in the MDOT North Region with available budget up to $100,000.
