Description | Removal of all membrane roof, deck insulation and replacement of the same for the Water and Sewer Department Main Warehouse and workshop areas at 202 Bell Street McMinnville, TN 37110 consisting of: All flashing, curbs, gutters, drip edges or other items related to this roofing project are to be replaced with new materials of the same kind. Bids will be awarded based on lowest and/or best bid. The city reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Material for the roof itself shall be as follows: 1) Remove all roofing from metal decking. 2) Remove all rotten and deteriorated wood. 3) All metal decking will be inspected by the Water Dept Head and removed as deemed necessary. A price per linear ft Shall be included in the bid. 4. The old, deteriorated metal decking will be removed and NOT overlayed with new. 5. New decking will be 22 gauge or better with matching configuration as old. 6. Final product will be inspected before the ISO board is installed. 7. ISO board should be a minimum thickness of 2.6 (R15) and may require a higher R value, ALL to be mechanically attached. 8. Install new TPO 60 mill roof system over the new ISO board, mechanically attached, install Per manufacturer guidelines. 9. All penetrations, vents, pipe flashing must be installed per manufacturer specs. 10. There is a possibility of roof drains needing to be installed after the roof is completed to facilitate drainage across the roof. (Not to be included in the bid) 11. The roof edge will NOT terminate with standard flashing, but the roof will extend into the gutter and a termination bar attached around the perimeter of the building to secure the membrane. NO glue will be used in the roof replacement. 12. All debris will be cleaned up, loaded and removed from the property. 13. A 5% bid bond is required that will be redeemed if the bid is not honored. 14. A 100% performance bond is required when the bid is awarded to ensure the job is completed as specified. 15. Contractor to complete this project within 150 days of the bid award date. |
